Demonstration of technical and Visual Skills:
I have explored a wide range of materials and investigations. I was not very successful with video work, but will still pursue some ideas to develop my own work. Working with 3-d objects has been exciting and opened up ideas about materiality to explore more. I can develop my strengths by reflecting on these explorations to show that it is evocative and part of my lived experience.
Quality of Outcome
I have shown the development of ideas and looked at the work of other artists whom I could learn from. I started an email conversation with the artist Rachel Russel around her work about enactment and wrote a separate blog about these ongoing conversations.
Demonstration of Creativity
I have developed a lot of ideas, but could have explored more and spent more time around the making and questions that arise in this process.
Context:
I did struggle with focus during the work. My practice was filled with research on the topics like Las Meninas, Reflection, and Constructing narratives. I do enjoy the course and find the work challenging my own ideas around materials and my own passions. It is important to develop my Parallel project and work on how ideas lead to making.
